I have never said a single thing to certain people on here that have me blocked. I wish a certain someone wouldn’t have blocked me because I sure would have loved to hear her going absolutely ballistic and threatening Matt Cooper’s life. And I don’t feel like signing out and getting another account just to hear it. Lol. But that’s how some people like to use the block button out here. All it takes is someone bothering their friends. Or completely opposing their views. No personal attacks or harassment necessary. So yeah… block party.

One and them has blocked me for about 8 years or so now over a Vorail post, where I gave my opinion on a transgender topic. I never attacked the guy, I just expressed my thoughts on the topic at hand. Then, he launched his blocking campaign every time he sees my username. This is the fourth platform that he’s blocked me on. LOL! Meanwhile, he continued to interact with a religious zealot who says that he's a homo-sodomite and an abomination in the eyes of God.

There are at least 2 people that are commenting on this Ramble that have me blocked, simply because I don't recognize their identities as real. Even though, I never target them specifically. LOL! But, if that's what they need to do for their mental health/peace of mind, more power to them. That's an appropriate use of the block button.

I know I've been blocked for what some might consider legitimate reasons, but I'm pretty sure that some people have blocked me because of my name. LOL!

I mean I really don't have that many people blocked. Maybe like 1 or 2 people. I only block someone if they are just spamming the feed with nonsense back to back, but I don't block people just because.

I also block people because on the rare occasions when I do post, I want to actually have decent conversations, and again, there are a lot of people who make that difficult lol. If this app would ever allow us to make posts followers only, maybe I would block a little less, but as it is, the burden is on me. I genuinely enjoy drama less and less the older I get, so that's not usually what I want out of a social media experience. I'm old and tired and just trying to chill.

But I should also note that I don’t take offense to being blocked either. At the end of the day, this is just a platform that I come on and when I am done, I am done. I am happy to form connections as I go if it is a naturally occurring situation, but I also come here for the drama and just some general entertainment if not drama.

That’s totally fair. You are entitled to making your experience on this app what you want. It’s absolutely true that people could be blocked simply because they are annoying or I would have absolutely no interest in hearing what they have to say.

I have a ton of people blocked on this app, and it's because I come on here to have a good time and there are a lot of people who make that difficult. I would rather block them and still want to open the app occasionally than not block them, hate everything they ever post or comment, and end up getting frustrated with the app and leaving. There are people whose opinions just aren't worth hearing, and people who are consistently annoying, and people who are bigoted and racist and homophobic and so on, and there's no benefit to me in not blocking them. It does sometimes make it difficult to follow a conversation when I can only see one side of it, but when I know who's on the other side, I usually just decide I don't need to know what's being said.

Don’t know, this app seems a little dead as of late.
The AI wizard
