As for me, I'm on another app that takes up my time, plus I like to read, and I don't have a lot to say.

I'd say a lot of it is that the novelty wore off. You know how people crowd onto something new, get tired of it and leave

I’m on Mastodon more. Plus I read a lot but I’m mostly reading my audiobooks and other things and especially publishing on my own website. I also love to listen to things in the background. This app requires a lot of interacting, like I can’t just go into a comment thread and then play all audio comments, I must interact with the app, so I don’t come on here very often unless I can really devote time to the app, which is a lot less nowadays

I know that for myself and several others, the high level of bullshit and the lack of consequences for that bullshit has been a contributing factor and not wanting to participate out here anymore. I'm giving it another go, but I'm probably going to be mostly in Messages until I'm able to control the visibility of my rambles. Aside from that, I would guess that some of the novelty has worn off now that the app has been in the app store for a couple of months. That does tend to happen with apps like this.

I said in a previous post, I think by misfit, that I think some people may be afraid to just come out here and be themselves or to bring up any personal topics because they don't want to be bullied Ortiz or have someone create a song about them. Which is no fun. Unless you're pat. Lol So they keep it safe and talk about dinner. I'm always surprised at the small amount of hangouts that are open. I don't go in them because according to the titles, they are free for alls. Anything goes they say. In the title if you don't like it, Get the fuck out. Or don't come in. Some of the titles suggest promiscuous content. I know, everyone is grown but you don't always want that. It would be nice if there were some more subject oriented hangouts opening. I know, I know. I have seen rooms where they declared it to be a safe zone and not to bring any mess in there. I was one of the ones that did clubhouse back in 2021. There were rooms about politics, health, the law, history, etc. Not necessarily started by the visually impaired community but they were quite interesting. Yeah, I hung out in some of the rooms where they were primarily visually impaired folks. But there were never really any topics. That's weird. Although I think some folks are getting bored with hearing repetitive topics, I think it's a wonderful platform for those that want to express themselves and just talk to the world. Perhaps that's the only time of the day where they have to actually talk to someone. And then when they get comments and reactions, they know people are listening. Overall, I still like the app.

I mean it's just like with everything else. People get hyped up about it for a little while, then it starts to die down, and only a handful of people stay.

Or maybe people just are turned off by the paid stuff I don’t know but I’ve noticed that too, but this is still a great app. I would say even having 10 or 20 people out. Here is amazing and more ads to the fun.

Well there's several things it's probably happening out here, the first is that the newness has worn off. The other thing is that there's so much technology out there these days that everyone is just spread out. So apps like this can get incredibly boring unless there's something really big going on that keeps people on the edge of their seats. You can only inbox so many products, you can only talk about what you have for dinner a certain amount of times before it's just not fun anymore.
