I thought he seemed a bit unhinged, but wow. Threatening violence is not in good taste. Neither is a lot of politics and things get really heated, but that's going too far. I don't even wish violence on Sam Altman like a lot of people have on various social networks. The anger is justified, but what you say and do with that anger is another story. Thx for the info.

Yeah, sadly, he is clearly someone that has emotional control, some cognitive processing, and probably some trauma issues from what I’ve gleened from his posts and my interactions with him as well. Most of it is likely bluster, but in today’s world, you still can’t have that out here on a public forum.

It was pretty serious. I guess I'll say the rest: I said I didn't file a report against his comment because I was trying to decide how to report it. The bigger reason was that I was trying to decide if I should report it somewhere else before encouraging it to be deleted. He basically promised to hurt people under certain conditions. Knives and actions with knives were described. Talk like that can precede real action. In this case, I sincerely hope it was just words and an unbridled temper. But it sounded too controlled in delivery for me to be sure. I hope I'm not saying more than I should, but I'm saying that much so I can say this: This platform permits a lot, so it says a lot when it doesn't permit something.

Knives? Yikes! That kind of talk is dangerous. It's true, you don't know for sure if it's just bluster since there have been many cases people thought someone was just blowing off steam with words, then those words became harmful even deadly actions. Thanks for the info. That kind of thing warrants a kick out of any platform really.
