I recommend a rain coat myself. I got one from REI which is a co-op for hiking gear. I would get one from a sporting goods store or a hiking co-uop so it is high quality and doesn't get all sweatty. When I was younger in New York Modells was a thing. Insert radio jingle.

Hi Neon. Umbrellas are good because they give you the personal space of driness, plus you can shelter someone else under it. Rincoat has the advantage of not taking my only other free hand which is important to me as a cane user.
