Oh, it was because of a fire truck going by? My dog used to do that too. It was kind of embarrassing. She would howl to the high heavens when a fire engine was screeching by. I guess she was feeling her ancestors. I guess the noise or the howl of the siren sounded like her ancestors. I don't know. It was weird.

He’s actually not a pup anymore, he’s almost 11 years old

He’s a German Shepherd and he hardly ever owls like that. He usually doesn’t howl when firetrucks come down the street but sometimes it’s rare when he does. This is only the second time I’ve heard him do that since we’ve had him way back when he was just a little six week old pup
