If anyone else has any other type of intonation ideas, what do you think could’ve also fit into the synthesizer?
Diego Gomez
Probably, my guess is that the upper intonation would probably be around 97 or 98. One such intonation I actually suggested was the Festival tts engine, which, I know there are so many versions with various intonation patterns out there, so that might be a little difficult. I know it’s based on Diphone unit selection concatenation, but I think the intonation data could definitely be extracted from that.

@Diego I hope it can be programmed to also do the intonation just like the old BNS did, where it would go up to like 90hz on a question mark (I'm guessing - thanks for the note about setting the pitch to 80hz!))
Diego Gomez
Well, if somebody wanted to do that, all they would need to do is set the pitch to 80 Hz.

They have done so much work on it over these past months. I've been following it as I have been getting it to work on the BT Speak. I was waiting on the final release because it sounds like they fixed some things in the linux build which makes it easier to compile and run. Sounds like the final version is out now. I understand we can also make and share custom voices. One day I would like or someone can create a flat monotone braille n speak-style voice.
Diego Gomez
To answer your question about NVDA add-ons, you can actually get those on GitHub.
Diego Gomez
Oh yeah, one more thing you’ll want to adjust is the formant sharpness. I keep that around 75 so it doesn’t sound so muffled but you can play with it if you want. Also, it works on macOS Ventura as well I believe.

Hope someone can spend some time and create an NVDA add-on for using this on Windows
