One sound that wasn't mentioned was the really loud car stereos. This became popular in the late 80s. Everybody wanted to own a kenwood or Alpine. :D Some people even installed house speakers in their car. I remember when the mini trucks came out, dropped or lifted, and shaking the walls as they went by.
