Provided this goes as planned, my next audio comment will be a rarely noticed song by the Alan Parsons Project specifically on this subject. It is a lightly humorous song about Sigmund Freud's flirtation with hypnotism and is called Let Yourself Go, from the album Freudianna (released in October, 1990). In the song, "Maitre Charcot" refers to a French teacher of Freud's, Jean-Martin Charcot, who used hypnosis to treat hysteria. Just for general amusement; listen or not as you like.
