I have found that staying friends after relationship ends only seems to work in books and on television, but very rarely in real life. Though I will say that I have noticed that in Neurodiverse communities, the dating in the friendship dynamics seem to also be a bit more fluid and I do see more often that People who were for all intense purposes dating once upon a time can easily jump back to just being friends so I don't know. Maybe it's just Neurotypicals get hung up on the wrong things and neural diverse people don't which allows them to be a bit more fluid in that way. Hmmđź’

Someone once told me that relationships are a voluntary sacrifice of the best possible friendship, and I couldn't help but agree. I don't mind being friends with my exes, they, unfortunately, don't, I fully understand them in that. I'm not the best person at the end. I also personally know a couple of people who are stuck in their relationships simply because they don't want to lose the friendship and try to pretend nothing happened. It's somehow disgusting like any lie, and sad at the same time.
