Indeed, I've experienced this same issue but only on my phone and ever since I started using this app. It's probably because my phone is old. The chronological order of the comments in the thread will flip the farther down I go, with the most recent at the top. Sometimes I can't even read the most recent comments. The only workaround I've found is using the website on my laptop.
