Well, thank you for your honesty. I really do appreciate that! I guess the same can be said then if a woman does it to a man correct? Don’t call me a boy or babe or sweetheart or sweetie correct? I just wanna make sure we’re on the same page because we’re talking about fairness correct? What if somebody in the south let’s just save example that’s how they talk? You’re really gonna sit there and say I’m annoyed by that? Come on!

Now, if they’re insistent, and they keep on doing the and saying those words, then yes, you definitely have an argument! In fact, I would find it creepy! But, if somebody says, hey sweetheart, do you mind if I can help you with something, then it’s just a sincere way of them talking.

It’s going to great on my nerves regardless. There’s no way of knowing who is being sincerely genuine with their terms of endearment, and who isn’t. Chances are that I’m not going to say anything most times. The only occasions I’ve ever pushed back is when I know these terms of endearment are being Weaponized. I’m very careful and selective about when and where I use my terms of endearment. I don’t use them with people unless I have known them for a while, and I know it’s OK to do so.

I don't care what people call me but rather what they do and if they leave or stay when it gets hard

This has nothing to do with autism. Conversations are a two-way street. If you are talking at someone they will pick up on this. My experience is that people who complain about others being offended by their speech are actually just getting defensive about the pushback when it does happen.

Honestly, whenever I’ve heard this topic raised it appears is if only the busted and attention seeking chicks are the one who take issue with it. It says if they realize they can never be cutie or sweetie, and knowing that they’re ugly, it’s almost as if they interpret the statement as though you were mocking them.
