  @Meg Everything said here was so clearly lighthearted and fun. This reads like projection. By that logic people shouldn't make jokes about themselves that are even very loosely based in stereotypes because it might make other people uncomfortable. My honorary grandmother playfully pokes fun at me all the time, she calls me ancient. I tell her she's the youngest out of all of us and she's always out there partying or hanging with friends. I'm genuinely curious why these lighthearted comments equal disrespecting ourselves or others? At least that's how I read it, maybe I'm wrong? I see older folks being really cool to younger ones that make these kinds of jokes, and I also see older folks poking fun at each other and themselves for not always being super up on technology. I really want to understand, but I don't see what the problem here is.

  Well, I think people are afraid to share their age because of comments like that, like maybe this isn’t the right app or maybe mentally I should be rocking in a chair. I’m kind of mixed. I mean, we’ll probably all get there eventually sitting in a rocking chairs and stuff, but I don’t stereotype myself because I’m 41 going on 88 or anything I want to show others respect as well as myself.

  I'm 25, but mentally I'm 63. All I want to do is sit in a rocking chair on my porch with my jazz records playing in the background, sip white wine and do hand crafting. A wild night for me is usually cooking an elegant dinner and watching medical dramas or Star Trek with my friends.🤣🧓
