Well what a wonderful story! And, it's really nice to find other pagans on here!

Mine is burned with much love and care. Over 10 years ago, I was part of a group of practicing neopaganists/members of CUUPS which included a variety of traditions and beliefs. Two others also followed druidic paths. One of them and her husband went to a convention that I was guided to also attend but didn't have the means. She came across a man who had cut small oak rectangles, sanded them, then burned and sanded and filed around all but the ogham shape for each stick, a border, and Braille characters parallel to the shape. It means that the shape, the border, and the Braille dots all are raised above the burned and filed surface which makes them raised compared to the rest of the surface and the burned surface has a unique texture that is rougher. When my friend saw these at his table, she told him how I had been trying to find a way to use Ogham as a blind person, and he gifted me this set through her as long as I provided feedback on the usability from a blind person's perspective. Of course I did that, and I had absolutely no notes. They're perfect. The Braille may not conform to the height standards for Braille dots in all instances, but the spacing between the dots and cells is nearly perfect across the set, and it is all very readable and touchable. I have used them off and on, as time and my environment permits. I tried asking him if he would be interested in ever reproducing the set, but never got a response beyond the first one, which simply said, "Thank you for writing back to me. I hope you put these to good use. Remember that everything and everyone is interconnected." I tried the email address again during the pandemic because I was in contact with a blind person at the time who wanted a set, and my email couldn't be delivered.

Wow, thank you so much! What great feedback! I hope to get an accessible Ogham set one day, I got one off Etsy only to find you can't use it if you're blind, because they were burned, not carved. Very pretty pieces, but useless to me for divination. And thanks for the feedback.
