I use my phone. I have it on my lap, use earphones, and take breaks with my left hand to scroll to the next line.

Wait, how do you read them and play at the same time? You are a braille reader, right?

Oh lord. No. Repeating it over and over again is the only way, I've found. Though granted, I come up with the lyrics and melody at the same time, so forcing myself to play through sections as I write them to figure out flow has also been a useful strategy. That said, I've been known to read my own songs while I play so I can sing them. I think this is possibly the quickest I've ever memorized words to my own song. I'll doubtless forget in a week. 😂

I wrote this a couple of weeks ago. My family moved very suddenly earlier this year, and while I had warning, I had a week and a bit to pack up my life before I flew accross an ocean. Coming home to a new place was distressing, to say the least. I do not do change well. But this came out of it.
