Yes, Patrick. I am not gonna disagree with you on that. It can get pretty scary. When you have no speech.

Good morning, jazzy Jennifer… Again… :-) I figured I would separate the suggestions in order to keep from creating a ridiculously long email… I don’t want you to have to take all the way through Christmas to read anything that I write… Lol. As for the dreaded powering off your phone… The question I have is do you have haptics turned on… If you have haptics turned on… If you have to power off your phone… When you press the volume button and the power button… Your phone will vibrate slightly… As soon as it does that release the buttons… Don’t hold them down for the full five seconds. I believe it is That length of time which triggers the emergency phone call. once you release the power and volume buttons… Place your finger anywhere on the screen and perform the swipe left action… Keep doing that until you can’t go anymore to the left… That should put you on top of the power off button… Double tap there and voilà… Either your phone will turn off and you’ll be successful… Or it will blow up… Which we have a new problem… :-) I’m just kidding… Your phone will not blow up… I promise lol Please let me know if any of this proves helpful… If you have any questions… Please not hesitate to ask… I will do my best to answer them. OK… I am done rambling… :-) Once again, if you do celebrate… Merry Christmas

Good morning jazzy Jennifer: Happy holidays… If you do celebrate, I hope you are enjoying your Christmas Eve… OK… Simi long message… Let me begin by saying that I did not listen to the audio messages so if you have received these suggestions already… I apologize in advance… :-) a future suggestion to possibly bring back speech when it disappears… Do you have accessibility shortcut set to voiceover… If yes… Then ignore what comes immediately after that… If not. Go to your settings… Go to accessibility… And then go to accessibility shortcut… One of the options way at the bottom is voiceover… if you select that, then you can triple click the right hand button … your power button … that will turn VoiceOver on and off… That may bring back your speech

Man am I glad I don't have to deal with any of that. Sounds to me like it just has a mind of it's own, crash, crash, crash, crash, crash! I aint going back to the dark side any time soon, nope nope. This ole rednecks staying put on android. Like others have said you may not have no choice but to do a hard reset on it even though you don't want to, and yeah it would be a good thing to set it to not do emergency calls, i'd hate for something like that to take place knowing you can't stop it cause voice over went splat!
