thanks for your kind suggestions and concern and thoughts. I was talking to someone in the States once and they asked where I was from I said Canada and they said well I just wanted to thank you for bringing the wildfires to our area and causing a mess and that hurt. So thanks again for being kind.

There are conservative politicians who are kind of blame in Canada for these fires, and I think it is related to climate change denial. If you are not allowed to admit that global warming is a real thing then you are more likely to be distracted by these blame games

Wow at the idea of politicians blaming Canada for the fires. I'd not heard of this but it seems so completely ridiculous, admittedly though like a number of other things that have been going on in politics in recent years but still. Reminds me of a certain letter that went viral long before "viral" was a term, the one from a farmer who received a "cease and desist" letter from the Environmental Protection Agency, telling him to stop building a dam that, as it happened, was not being built by the farmer at all but by a local beaver. The letter he wrote back is rather hilarious. Apologies if any of my remembered details are imprecise; this was many years ago. But I'm pretty sure I got the gist of it.

It's not enough that they're complaining, but they're actually threatening Canada, bringing up the 51st state thing again, or they'll take matters into their own hands. I was watching a video that I wanted to post here but it's too long for my plan. It made me so mad I couldn't finish watching it. I do have to say that the threats are concerning me.
