We don't get winter rain here, so summer is our rainy season. This year is particularly rainy, and not as hot. Easily the coolest summer in about a decade if not more.

Leo, this made me smile. Yeah, we're not tropical at all. There are places in South Africa that are subtropical, so high humidity, and very rainy summers. There are also places that are very dry in summer and quite rainy in Winter. We have dry summers as well. Our rainfall per year isn't usually very high. But this year is a lot cooler than previous years, and I think it's having an impact on how much rain we're receiving.
