Well, I couldn’t do it anyway. This is actually going to make access even worse and lock people out of even more apps. People who are not under age and want to join these apps because they’re friends and family are joining them. People who never did anything wrong.

Accessibility issues aside…

We shouldn’t have to sacrifice privacy for access to these apps which are increasingly becoming more and more part of our lives whether we like it or not. I’m glad you decided not to do this.

The image verification doesn't make much sense because if I were under age and wanted to sign up for something, I would just find someone to do the image verification for me. And if you're creative enough, I'm sure an underage person could make themselves look older.

I hate this more than you can possibly imagine because, it’s another way for big tech to get data because i’m sure the verification technology is a privatized tech company as well that everybody uses rather than making their own secure verification process. The legislatures that have implemented this as a law really don’t understand what the real issue is regarding tech and usage and data. Minors accessing websites or social media is not the problem. The problem is that controversy is an easy advertising avenue, and companies really want your data so they can then sell it off to brokers and advertisers and more. These companies should be regulated to the point where it is illegal to sell your data to advertiser, brokers, things like that. I have other major issues with this, but H verification is not helping anybody, it’s only gonna make the Internet worse, and it is the entirely wrong solution to problems that nobody really understands

And here is another thing. Most websites that you sign up for these days are already asking for your birthdate to make sure that you’re over 18. So if we’re giving our birthdate to these companies anyway, why should we then have to prove with an image that we put in the right birthdate, when the image may not be estimated correctly either?

This image of verification stuff is probably about to be everywhere. There's even a grocery store in New York City that's using image verification for every single customer that enters their store. So you're probably going to see it more widely used in different places.
