A live demonstration on the FloType keyboard

I know that probably sounded a little confusing because I was actually flicking down to get the correct word I was looking for, but if you install this on your phone and play with it you’ll understand what I was doing and why it sounded the way it sounded. I’m going to post the TestFlight link for anyone who is interested in giving this a try.

Another cool thing about this keyboard is that it learns your typing patterns based on where you have your finger on the keyboard. So if you tend to type towards the bottom of the screen it will eventually learn that pattern and get the words more accurate as it learns.

Testing it out now.

Sounds very much like the Flick Type Keyboard from back in the day. There’s a bitt of a learning curve if I recall correctly, but if you were to practice with it, you probably would become quite proficient in using it. Personally, I find that nothing works better than a wireless mechanical keyboard with a num pad which is what I’m typing on at the moment.

Yes the keyboard works a lot like flick type, but much better and I think this one will be around for a good long while.

@Gordon: Since you’ve already been testing the app, tell me/us why you feel it’s better than Flexsy or Flick Type?

no, this is just an iOS keyboard. i’ve never seen anything even close to this on android, so maybe it’s not possible over there. but once you learn this keyboard, you really can type super fast.

@Jerry: Now that’s what I’m talking about! You gave some clear examples as to why you believe this keyboard is better than the others. Apparently it’s more responsive than previous iterations and it also has sound effects. Helpful.

@Gordon: Keeping it real, your original presentation wasn’t all that, but the information is solid, and therefore I appreciate the share regardless.

Well Blinky X when I did the demonstration I wasn’t setting out to win any kind of awards or anything like that. I just decided to quickly do it so I put it together to give folks the general nuts and bolts of how the keyboard works and people will do exactly what Jerry did. They’ll go and install it play with it learn stuff themselves and come back here and post what they’ve learned. I just wanted to get the information out here quickly because folks like Anthony who are using the iOS 27 developer beta and Brill screen input don’t really have a way to type at the moment unless they want to use the main keyboard. So this is an alternative and a good workaround for all of that .

Well Gordon, I so want you to get in your feelings over what I said. You yourself even admitted that your presentation was a bit whack so don’t act like I’m saying something you didn’t know already. Besides, you’re known to be a bit of a dick at times when it comes to voicing your opinion, so I know you’re not gonna try to act touched are you? Again, thanks for the info. As for the presentation; do better boy!

Well boy that was quick and something I did with a matter of two minutes boy.

@Gordon: Not gonna go back and forth with you boy. Nevertheless, I’ll leave you with a bit of advice, rather than posting a two minute ramble; take the time to add another minute to make sure your presentation is better.
