I don't think as I thought I heard you say that blind people are seen by sighted people as pathetic disabled poor things. I have advocated and spoken only to have been teased and felt dumb before and told we can't help you. I have also stood around and waited forty plus minutes for something no one came I was told ask or you don't get, then got laughed at behind my teachers backs. But yes, just ask does help. But one time I was ordering food and someone told me they would order for me and she will have this or that and then was like if someone offers to help you why not take it instead of saying excuse me I can hhelp myself

oh thye times I've heard of people lashing out for the helpy helpy stuff. At eighteen I was either too amazing for my own good according to them or too baby baby helpy helpy
