Well I never officially lost my taste and smell but it is possible that it's a side effect of the cold cause I do still have some congestion
Meg
That’s kind of what I was thinking you know all that mucus that accumulates after your taste and smell comes back, probably accumulating your throat or something not sure

A dry throat during a cold or flu can persist even if you’re drinking plenty of water because illness often causes mouth breathing, nasal congestion, and postnasal drip, which can dry out your throat. Fever, certain medications like decongestants, and sleeping with your mouth open can also worsen dryness.
