Well, as the foreigner in my household, we have a broken dryer and a really stupid washer that wants to think it is smarter than me. So I absolutely hate doing laundry right now. I actually don’t mind dishes unless it’s just completely piled up and there’s no space even to wash or rinse things. I’ve only had the luxury of using a dishwasher over the last couple years. Before that, I did them by hand and actually loved it. Sure my hands were like over boiled pasta, but I found it therapeutic.

In all honesty, I’d rather do laundry any day. Dishes? Hard no. I absolutely despise washing dishes. The greasy plates, the leftover food sitting there — it drives me insane. I don’t know if it’s a sensory issue or something deeper, but I cannot stand it. Laundry, on the other hand, is peaceful. It’s almost therapeutic. The smell of clean clothes, taking your time folding everything neatly, the calm rhythm of it — that chore feels soothing in a way dishes never will.

All bullshit aside I hate part of those things individually. I do not mind doing the dishes at all, but I despise putting them away. Doing my laundry is not a problem either, however the folding part I absolutely despise! I am the foreigner in my relationship, so I do not have your privilege lol.
