Oh yes, definitely, I’ve met blind people who couldn’t find their way out of the closet.

I usually ignore the request. I walk off as soon as I can tell that people are getting off the plane.

I feel strongly that what some people fail to understand within the blind community is that independence isn’t defined for each and every one of us as the exact same. Is someone less independent because they use Instacart or Aira? No, they’re not, they do what works for them. If a blind person feels like waiting to have assistance from somebody sided, I don’t see the difference between that and firing up smart glasses, or asking a service animal to lead the way.
