Thank you for that answer. It was thoroughly satisfying. Again the best of success, and I hope you can open that antique and keep it for a while.

A 500 dollar doll is one in very good condition with some reasonable signs of her age. Careful restoration adds value. The more common dolls go for less, but can be restored and put back out into the collector market. The rarest dolls are held in museums, by wealthy private collectors, sometimes the dolls raise money in charity auctions. Quality restorations can win dolls blue ribbons at shows. Some of these dolls have traveled the world. The dolls are gifts of spirit. I do not take their presence lightly. One day I will own an antique, and have the knowledge to care for it. Gotta respect something that's been around longer than I've been alive.

Well, I truly enjoyed this post and I can really see the attachment that you have to your dogs and that is really nice that after 40 years you could replace the doll that was mysteriously taken away from you and I’m sorry I’m not. I’m sure that was a great disappointment. I’m glad you’re happy and enjoying your life and I hope you give the Lord God in heaven thanks for it because you’re blessed. Let us know more about the dogs right away, you said you have an $80 doll so they got what would come in a $500 doll what would bring the price of a doll up to 500 bucks?
