And with some radio streams there is always an ad that will play before the stream even begins. To hear an example of this, ask your device to play B105.7 on iHeartRadio.

There is no way to disable this, and yes I agree it's annoying. Most of your big streaming platforms are often programmed to play separate commercials from what the actual radio station is playing. IHeart and Audacy do this a lot. And you'll notice sometimes because you'll be listening and you'll actually hear the very end of the commercial that the radio station is actually playing once the pre-programmed Audacy commercial ends. And sometimes when breaking news or severe weather coverage happens, these pre-programmed platform commercials will break into programming and then rejoin the station once they've played. Under normal circumstances, the stations are supposed to run the same brake length as the pre-platform commercials so usually it rejoins on time, but sometimes it don't.
