In the midst of this, I recognize Styx! I had that album on vinyl. Heavy Metal Poisoning, from Killroy Was Here, Side 2 track 1! Not sure many people by now have heard that song lol. The vocalist in a later bit reminds me keenly of Lawrence Gowan but not of a Styx song I recognize. Half Penny Two Penny sailed by though. Playing as I type this. Now we have instrumental from Paradise Theater's title track, then another one I don't remember as well, with words I recognize though. Carry Me, I called it without knowing if I was right, not sure which album. I like a fair amount of Styx actually. I think they drew their finale instrumental from Kidding Yourself, if that's its actual name. Cool stuff! It just ended here.

It's all Styx songs all stuck together. This was a live track they did in 2006 with an orchestra.

You're right about that singer. He's been a member of Styx since the year 2000.

Nah. I'm realizing people are stuipd. I'm a damn good drummer and it's about time I started telling myself that. And I don't know what you call that beat. I just know how to play it. I've never really cared about the terms and wording of drums. I just play them and play the way I hear things in my head.

Some of that kinda reminds me of Mike Portnoy, hopefully dictation gets his name, right i’ve always been a fan of Mike and he’s a real deal guy too

Oh he's amazing. I have like 15 dream theater covers I've yet to post. Just waiting until I am in the right headspace to do so!

Wow, that’s wild, never heard of somebody that could play by ear with drums, like hear a sound and just be able to transpose it like that

It's how I've always learned music. They tried to teach me to read Braille music in college and I just couldn't grasp it. But give me a track and I can learn it by the second listen through.

Hehehe yeah, I learned how to read Braille music to my instructor when I was a kid, and how to play what she told me. But, ahem, I never did learn how to play what I just read. Anything I play now is from memories of songs. I dabble with keyboards, though I haven't had one for years now and am surely quite rusty indeed.

Just wait. Starting December first I'll be posting 1 Trans-Siberian Orchestra cover daily. I can play every single song from them beat for beat.

Well, keep them coming, that’s exactly what I needed to hear this morning. In fact, I’m gonna go listen again, that got the blood pumping.
