Yeah I don't really care what people believe in. But it needs to stay in your house not spill over into the government. You can't talk about polyamory and all these things when your president's acting like a terrorist.
Capitan Slap A Hoe
My issue is not with the belief in God or the teachings of Jesus. My issue is with people who cherry pick certain passages from the Bible to justify treating other people like shit.

I mean, there are people that are allergic to facts lol no mind you, I am a believer in God yes, but I don’t believe in the twisted words that are the Bible now, it has changed a lot. People have been cherry, picking it time and time again. Changing everything around it. So that source isn’t believable.

There’s a story like this involving American churches almost every day, it really feels like an epidemic.
Capitan Slap A Hoe
And just to bring it a little closer to home for some of you, one of the victims was blind.

The title of that article is: How a Christian college ministry glorified a sex offender and enabled him to abuse students.

Of course, the whole Jerry Falwell Jr. thing was a different story altogether…

Yes, for example,, there was a massive scandal in the southern Baptist convention about 10 or 15 years ago that was completely covered up
Mateo
Agreed, the church is the one that has more pedophiles and anywhere else. People always say, oh you are always going to be safe here at church, not at all. Luckily, I didn’t go through this myself, but a school mate from when I used to go to school at a public Christian institution, got r*PED by the head pastor.
Dan
I don’t know about polyamory aside from in Utah maybe, but the white evangelicals in America certainly are following biblical teachings around pedophilia, every day there’s a new story about child sexual abuse from the church, including by Trump‘s spiritual advisor Robert Morris
Capitan Slap A Hoe
i was literally looking for hoe hoe hoes for the holidays, and at least one Christian had a problem with it. Maybe she should've read her bible a little more carefully. Hahaha!
Capitan Slap A Hoe
Now, with that said, polyamory is weird to me, but it seems like it would come naturally to the ones who call themselves Christians. After all, it's in the bible. LOL!
Matthew Jon Moran
Capitan Slap A Hoe
Also, the god you claim to follow, directed his boy, Abraham, to fuck his wife's bond's woman, i.e. slave. Are you saying that the god you pretend to follow was wrong for ordering him to engage in polyamory?
Capitan Slap A Hoe
Now, I am a firm believer that the Bible is full of shit. Maybe that's why i'm a little confused that you Bible-thumpers have a problem with polyamory. That piece of shit Jacob, who fucked his older brother out of his inheritance when he was starving, had two wives, but your fake god said he was a righteous man. So, are you going against the word of your fake god? LOL!

The move from “don’t tread on me“ to “comply or die“ was extremely quick for these tea party types, don’t you think?

I saw this post on Facebook Chantelle and I had to drop it in here. He Republicans crack me up. While I loathe Donald Trump with every fiber of my being, I do love the fact that he’s proven that everything folks like myself have been saying about the Republican Party and the conservative movement has been absolutely spot-on all these years. They’re not concerned with actual Christian values. It’s impossible to follow the true teachings of Jesus Christ while supporting Donald Trump. His behavior and the words of Christ are the antithesis of one another. Obviously, they’re not small government. You can’t be an advocate for small government when you support a president who wants to rule as a dictator, has ordered the National Guard to patrol many of our nation’s streets, and believes he can abuse the power of the federal government to force states into doing what he wants. That whole “Second Amendment guards against tyranny” bullshit was always just that — bullshit. You don’t get more tyrannical than the vice president of the United States saying that federal agents have immunity to do whatever they want. And we don’t really need to go too deep into the “free trade capitalism” nonsense. Much like Trump’s behavior and the words of Christ, you give up any stance that you’re for “free market capitalism” when you back someone whose entire economic policy is based upon tariffs and raising consumer taxes on every American. Respect for the military? Not even close. Not only did Trump lie about a bonus for most of the men and women serving this nation (while they were paid, he didn’t pay for it from tariff funds — he took money meant for affordable housing for the military and repurposed it so he could take credit for something), he’s routinely shown that he has no problem displaying zero respect for any veteran who speaks out against him. We’ve never had a president show the military more disrespect than this draft-dodger. Don’t even make me laugh about their supposed “respect for the Constitution.” Donald Trump is, by far, the most unconstitutional president in this nation’s history — an individual the Founding Fathers literally designed our system of checks and balances and co-equal branches of government to protect against should someone like Trump get elected. And while they talk a lot about “freedom of speech,” that’s total bullshit. You won’t find a more anti-free-speech president than Donald Trump. The only “free speech” he supports is that which supports him and his ideas. Anything to the contrary he wants canceled and silenced. I’m not sure I really need to even discuss the party of “family values,” either. I think a twice-divorced individual who’s cheated on every single one of his wives and has five children with three different women pretty much speaks for itself as far as those “values” go. Same goes for the whole “respect the rule of law” and “law and order” propaganda. This is someone who pardoned over 1,600 criminals, frequently attacks the judicial branch when they rule against him, has pushed conspiracies about the FBI, and has effectively turned the presidential pardon into a pay-for-play scheme where there’s growing evidence he’s selling them to whoever pays him enough for one. We’ve never had a president who’s so blatantly shown he couldn’t give a damn about any rule of law outside of what he thinks is or isn’t just and legal. We’ve known for a while that the party of “fiscal responsibility” has been a laughable bunch of nonsense. They haven’t had a president from their party balance the budget since Dwight D. Eisenhower in the ’50s. Furthermore, not only has Trump added trillions to the nation’s debt — he’s added more than any other president in history. Then there’s the bigotry and racism aspects we’ve all claimed the GOP has backed for decades. This is the party that was reinvented by what’s known as the “Southern Strategy” in the ’60s, where they targeted white resentment toward Black people who were being given more rights. Now we have a blatant racist in Stephen Miller serving in a very powerful position within our government — someone who, if you put a Nazi war uniform on him, would look right at home. There’s no debate that Miller is an absolute racist. Hell, the GOP has become such a pit of racism that Elon Musk recently shared a post that literally advocated for white supremacy, and it wasn’t even a major headline. That’s how much racism has become accepted within the conservative movement. The list goes on and on. For years, people like myself have called out the contradictions and hypocrisy on the right — a group of people who claim to stand for something when their actions tell an entirely different story. All it took was the right kind of lowlife piece of garbage to put it all out there on full display. And Donald J. Trump is the perfect lowlife piece of garbage who did just that.

So you've read the Bible Chantelle you can quote scripture and yet you're behaving like a Pharisees. Do you think it's spreading the good news to sit there and act like a moral Nazi yes I said that on purpose. You are no one to judge anybody. We are all sinners. God has no favorites. Remember that when you're getting all smug. You better be careful you're gonna get a nosebleed, it's lonely at the top and you're not qualified.
Romy
Or, idk, you could be a good person. Display good will towards men? The meek shall inherit the earth? Be kind to the least among you? Love is patient, love is kind? I understand you have a pathological compultion to judge those around you, and you choose to use Christian nationalism as your moral scapegoat. Now, I am an atheist to be fair. But I do remember a little tale of Jesus throwing a whole lotta people out of a temple for pulling this exact nonsense on a systemic scale. Just a thought before I wash my hands of this nonsense.

i just want to get out of this convo because i have some beliefs about polyamery, that many people might not like so i am not gonna say them here because some people who like it might think that i'm crazy in liking manogamous relationships.

this sounds heated, this is the last thing i'm going to say, people have a freedom of religion, and some don't have religion at all.

i was born a christian, doesn't mean i follow christianity, i cuss like a sailor, i don't go to church or read the bible i just don't practice christianity

I've done open relationships before. I've done the monogamy thing I've been in the same relationship for 16 years. And for some of those years I did open relationships. And guess what I'm still married to the same man. So this is a fallacy the way you're talking Chantelle
King Tripple Whopper
Don't worry about what others choose regarding relationship types. I myself am completely monogamous but that is just me!
Dan
Yes it’s definitely about control
Andrea Evelyn Love
I don't know why people get so worked up over polyamory if nobody forces them to do it. I will I do know why it's more rhetorical, it's about control, you people want to control everything. You're supposed to have a personal relationship with Jesus. That's all that's it. Jesus is the mediator.
