I think you have tapped into a commonality among blind people with this question. As a community, we place importance on hearing, and sounds are so much in our thoughts that it follows that we would have favorite ones. Your comment reminded me of another favorite sound, which is nighttime ambience with traffic in the distance. I grew up in suburban neighborhoods, and the third house my parents lived in was where I spent most of my adolescence. It was about a mile away from a major highway which always has traffic. I spent many nights falling asleep to crickets, grasshoppers and traffic.

rain, thunder storms, water running like a stream or river, ocean waves, a camp fire or fireplace, native american flute or any kind of flute really or hand pan.

I do love a nice thunderstorm! Other water sounds are quite awesome as well. Waterfalls, waves, a babbling brook or a rushing river. I find various music relaxing. Native American or Asian flute, Celtic music and depending on my mood, heavy metaland everything in between.
