That’s what totally tripped me out when I went to the blind school. More of the students that were actually down there were very high partials and not even close to actually being blind. When you think I’m blind you think of no site. When you hear the term legally blind then you would expect that person to have a little site so the word legally blind would probably be much more appropriate.

But yes, the miss marketing thing really bugs me. I can’t even tell you how many commercials I’ve heard throughout my career from businesses that want to include that they are Christian owned and operated. That’s supposed to be a marketing tactic to let everybody know that they are going to be more honest and do a better job than everybody else.

It really smacks of someone who doesn't believe their works can stand on their own credits. I see nothing wrong with saying we're blind or deaf or whatever, as long as it's relevant to the topic at hand. But just throwing it out there for marketing or attention smacks of insecurity.

I think a lot of the stuff was made up to push the medication’s and to push the medication’s that you’re gonna need to be able to survive the first round of medication you were given. I mean how do you explain stuff like peanut allergies. Everybody and I mean everybody had a peanut butter sandwich in their lunch when I went to school. Now you can’t even have the stuff in the cafeteria at all. Peanut butter is contraband these days.

That’s kind of my point, Gordon that they only want to be blind when it benefits them but the rest of the time they’re low vision
