How long has it been since you’ve Googled?

I think a little less than a day. I literally used Google yesterday for a tech question. I had asked my Echo device and even GPT on my phone, but I wasn’t getting the answer I needed so I Googled as my last resort and still was unclear about my question lol..it did help though. It cleared it up, but wasn’t a definite answer. Now if I’d answered this question before yesterday it would have easily been weeks cuz Googling had been so far off my mind…
Earlier today. I never use AI to look for factual knowledge, given how optional truthfulness seems to be for pretty much all models.

Two hours ago. It’s an average of 1 to 4 times a day. All depends on what I’m doing.

I still use Google, although I’m growing less and less confident in the answers I’m getting. Maybe it’s time for me to think about using ChatGPT.

If AI is so much more superior to humans in its thinking, why would it not have the superior knowledge to look for facts from all search engines and from all sources and from that conclude or develop an answer for the one who is inquiring? If ChatGPT is using Google to do its work, why do I need to use ChatGPT at all? I’ll just go back to googling.

Many times people don’t have a brain. Lol!

AI is great and I will ask casual questions but if it is something important I will always ask for sources and verify with Google or something else if it does not provide source URLs. Generative Pre-trained Transformers often get facts wrong. I’ve never understood why they can’t just send math questions to a calculator but because they rarely get math right why should I trust other information? Example, I’ve had better success with OCR than AI for reading some labels, a few times AI seems to go out and grab product information when you just want it to read the text on a package.
