Several things in that post are true, such as the importance of continuing to stimulate your brain to ward off cognitive decline. However, you don't increase the odds of dementia by sleeping with your head under a blanket, and you do not get 20% more water absorption by drinking it cold. The first of those might be a mistaken assumption about the body's ability to adapt to a slight increase in carbon dioxide. The second may be a misunderstanding of some advice given to athletes about drinking cooler water, based on a likelihood that this will cause them to drink more water which of course will give them more to absorb.
