Apologies, I would've posted an audio reply but I haven't figured out how to do that on here. You should look into Jimmy Akin's Mysterious World podcast. He addresses the types of topics you mention in your message from the perspectives of faith and reason. But you are probably familiar with his work since you mentioned Catholic Answers. Michael Heiser also has many videos on Youtube that delve into similar questions. I have been reading two of his books for a couple months - The Hidden Realm and Reversing Hermon. However, whereas these books and most of his work is on theology, he also speculates about ancient aliens and the theory of panspermia. His podcast is called The Naked Bible.
