One of the things that as blind folks and low vision legends we should try and practice is to read to understand and embody the experience of others that might not have had similar shared experience as us. Calling harm “not a big deal” minimizes behavior that actually impacts people. Intent doesn’t erase impact, and telling people to just block is not accountability. If we want a healthier space, we have to stop normalizing harm and start addressing it.
