I'm not sure if you've made this post just to vent, if you were looking for validation, or actual advice. I will say that by the sounds of it, it did sound like the people didn't want you in the band anymore. So perhaps it's good that you guys parted ways. It also sounds like you didn't make it easy for them to want you in the band. And I say this because there are other blind people who are in bands, who managed to get the things done that you outlined. And with apps like be my eyes, Ira, and other visual assistance apps, there really isn't any reason why you couldn't be wearing Meta glasses, or using your phone to locate things, and with noise cancellation on AirPods now, it is easy to still do those things in a noisy environment. so, either way, it sounds like you're better off and why not try to find a band that wants you rather than trying to force your company on a band where people don't want you? Also, why not try virtual bands. They have wonderful apps now that allow musicians from across the country and the world to jam out together. Maybe look into that if transportation continues to be a problem for you. Good luck

The transportation issue was solved. Other issues were solved also. I wasn't forcing my company or my existence on the members of the band at all. My last gig with them was last month, and they had been avoiding me ever since, so I had absolutely no idea why I wasn't getting called for jobs anymore. My reasons for not doing the meta glasses and noise cancelling airpods thing is because I want to be completely present at these jobs. I've actually never been in a situation where people got pissed off or resentful that they were in a situation where they were giving me a little extra assistance. That's entirely new to me. What wasn't new, and what I was doing for many years of my life, was trying not to rely on absolutely anyone and making an ass out of myself and angering other folks who would try to help and get rebuffed by me. So, I tried this approach and it didn't work either. As for the purpose of this post, it was mostly a vent post or a let the chips fall where they may kind of thing.
