    I was a sophomore and I was in my English class, and I remember the principal coming onto the intercom and announcing that there was a terrorist attack and we had televisions in our classrooms and she told us to turn the TVs on in the classroom. I don’t know why she said that and we literally sat there and watched the whole thing happen on TV. We saw the plane hitting the towers and it was horrible and I went to Catholic school so that was very traumatizing. I had no idea what was going on, but yeah

    Forgot to mention that also I live in New Jersey, literally across New York City across the Hudson so when you went outside, you could literally smell the burning air and it was just awful and disgusting and it was like that for months . I also remember after leaving second period calculus my friend and I ditched school and went to Boulevard East and saw the second tower fall.

    I was 26, working at a trucking company, in the mechanic shop, when it happened. I'll never forget the look on my boss's face as he told me and a coworker. the radio stations here in upstate NY played Twisted Sister - We're not gonna take it, for the rest of the day. I remember watching the news after I got home. those images are burned into my memory. two days later I was on a truck delivering water bottles to NYC.

    🤨 when you say upstate New York, how far? I mainly lived in Orange County and Duchess County. I was turning 22 at the end of the month and I just passed my CDL test,

    Nino, I'm pretty far upstate. 2 and a half hours north west of the city, an hour south of Syracuse.
