That was interesting. Also, I remember I was only able to pick up the Phil Hendry show on the a.m. station and I had to have my radio position just so or the signal would cut out. I was definitely one of the audience members who took way too long to catch onto the fact that the more incendiary callers like the homeowner association person Margaret, were fake and not just you know plants to get the audience talking and stuff. I really miss those and wish that kind of clever satirical comedy was more present on the air. I am so tired of music! It all just sounds the same, whether it's AI, or somebody so auto tune they might as well be AI. It all just gives me ear fatigue. Bring back the comedy shows.

I've often wondered, with many blind radio stations and broadcasters that have come and gone over the years, why terrestrial radio overall hasn't been more populated with blind broadcasters? Like there are so many of you who have a passion for it, why hasn't there ever been more real push from the blind community and radio enthusiast in particular, to occupy more space in that particular profession? With vibe coding and different script integration, is there any chance that there will be more push to make radio and radio station equipment more accessible for those who know and appreciate it? Maybe you can answer that because I'm really curious. Also, I'm wondering why you never pursued something like a business degree so you could one day be a station manager or something. Something that would still keep you involved in the radio business. Anyway, thanks again for sharing your story

Well one of the things I did in college was to take meteorology classes because I wanted to be a weather forecaster. I could do a good bit of that without actually having to read maps and see radar data. But you still can’t really get all that far in that particular career as a blind person. I don’t even think that you have to get the FCC certification now like we all did to be able to run the equipment. Computers handle it all now and you’re just simply an occasional button press.

As I was trying to say EARLIER, MY SOCIALMEDIA history, starting in the "PHONE WORLD," as early as 1995, hanging out on the "TALKEE" lines, then continuing to "TELLME," where "GRAFFITI," "PHONE BOOTH," and so on, were what was happening, along with the rest as being FANTASTIC HISTORY for ME from THEN to NOW, REALLY stems even further back to when I was a "PRE-LEGAL-AGER (prior to age 18)," whose one of perhaps COUNTLESS OTHER fascinations WAS, and STILL IS, telecommunications, but ONLY for idle entertainment.
