I don't get the point of posts like these. There are creeps on every platform, people should use caution and discernment when dealing with people they encounter. That's a global thing across the internet, not per-app.
I'm not sure you needed to be quite so rude Brandon. We can't know about every single app that is dangerous out there, so it's nice when people tell us about things ahead of time before we waste our time. Or our iCloud space with apps that are not accessible or that are full of creeps. Women and men should do that for each other. I mean the way you tell it, there's no need for anybody to ever leave a review about any items because of course items will either be good or will be bad. So yeah, not sure why you're upset about her basically leaving a review about an app. I wonder if you feel the same about people leaving yelp reviews, or leaving reviews about technology or anything else. lol 🥸

You know, it is possible to disagree with someone without twisting what they say and making assumptions about the tone of the post.

I agree with Brandon that you have to use caution no matter what you do on the Internet but also this app is and has to follow guidelines so just report the individual that is flirting with you. Also, you don’t have to disagree or agree with people’s opinions. Doesn’t mean they’re wrong! Brandon Cross just like the other poster has the right to stay their opinion.

Personally, I think the title could’ve been a little bit more clear because in my personal opinion, it should’ve just said in general instead of just language apps. Women get hit on, for example, on this application all the time by dudes!

It seems that Tandem, has a pretty strict no-flirt policy and a lot of tools to block/report people violating those rules. I think they even filter out sexual words in message excanges etc so I think yeah, your best bet to keep using Tandem is to block and report anyone who might be filter-dodging. If this app is VO accessible it might actually be something I've been looking for. When learning a new language I think an app like this is useful to visually impaired language learners because I think that learning with native speakers is easier than DuoLingo and Babble is shit when it comes to accessibility so yeah. Thanks for putting this language learning app on my radar if nothing else.🤔
