Yikes, those noises among many other reasons are what makes flying so anxiety-inducing for me. But I plan on doing it again someday. Thanks for posting.

I believe the whining noises about a minute in are to do with the hydraulic fluid pumps, probably retracting the landing gear. There was quite a bit of cloud cover so it was a bit bumpy on the climb out.

When the whining started, I was convinced it was someone with a dog. But then it carried on long enough that I figured it was probably the landing gear. Takeoff is my favourite part of flying, that and turbulence, so this was fun. i have at least 4 flights planned before the end of the year, so I may well upload one of those takeoffs for comparison. Nice quiet plane though, it's almost enviable!
