Id also add to this discussion that sometimes the visual aspect of a scene in a film or TV show contains clues to what’s going to happen next, for example the Sky might be bright blue and then suddenly turned black which could show that night has fallen suddenly, or an alien spaceship is blocking the view or whatever it is.
