Gordon, they've been saying the same thing up here for years. They want to protect the kids from predators, but then the parents hand their small children, fully loaded, smart phones where they could be prayed upon by perverts from around the globe. Shaking my head.

They keep saying down here that they don't want kids waiting in the dark at the bus stop in the morning to catch the buzz. But they already do that because a lot of the schools are so overcrowded that buses are coming at 6:45 in the morning. So I don't understand what the big deal is.

They keep debating on daylight saving time, but it never gets very far for some reason. So I'm thinking that we'll always be changing our clocks here in Texas. I love daylight saving time because it stays daylight until 845 during the summer. I couldn't imagine it getting darker earlier than that just because we're so used to it down here.

I will be so glad when this day is over because it just keeps dragging so slow. I've slept a couple of times, but I keep waking up and it's the same day. And I have to work tonight, and I really hope that doesn't drag on forever. But yes the darkness definitely feels much different. It got dark here about 534 this afternoon.
