Is it a Christian song? Not sure; it's possible. When a song is as ambiguous as this one, I think the songwriter wrote it that way intentionally maybe to appeal to a greater audience. It has themes of forgiveness, homecoming, etc. that are not Christianity-specific. I would have to see Jesus or Resurrection or salvation in the lyrics to categorize a song as Christian.
