Hey, thanks for the kind words. I do, indeed, sing in this amateur men‘s choir here in Germany. I also accompany the choir on guitar, piano or cajon. And, yes, the blind dude in the choir is the guy who always does the videos. :) At our annual Christmas concert, we were 23 singers. I am, indeed, proud of our choir for still holding strong, considering that in this audio taken from our concert video, filmed on my iPhone 17, out of the 23 singers, only 3 are under 60 years old, myself being the youngest aged 46. The oldest singer is 89 and was a founding member in 1968. Consistency is key. Our current conductor is only the third one in the choir‘s history since 1968.

the church we always use for our concerts is actually a catholic one which was built in the 1960s. We are, however, not a curch choir. I chose one of the more classic/epic songs from our concert. We also sang El Condor Pasa with German lyrics, myself on guitar; we sang Feliz Navidat in German/Spanish, myself on guitar; we sang Jerusalem, myself on piano and Go, Tell it on the Mountain featuring a children‘s choir with 22 kids. We are a pop choir, really. :)

Wow. Thanks for the background info. That absolutely does not sound like 23 men. It sounds like 100. That's nice to be a part of something that you seem to love so much. And i'm sure it's a privilege to get you guys booked for a performance. That's cool that I'm finding so many people on this app from Germany. I am American but I was born in Germany. My father was in the military. That's so cool. How long have you been a part of the choir? That's amazing that people so old have the energy to do all that practicing and traveling and performing and everything. Did y'all have a lot of Christmas concerts? Or performances? Did you guys ever produce an album?

You guys sound great, and the acoustics, of the church, help. I think my boyfriend is the youngest in our chorus; he's an old 40; LOL! We're 150 strong, all voice parts. Can't wait to sing A Sea Symphony in May!
