That is so cool how you can use a charcoal grill without being able to see. How did you learn to do it? That is so neat the way that your grill works. Mom and I have the type of grill where you sort of stack the charcoal and a pyramid. What type of grill do you have? By the way, I like the name for your torch. That's a wrestling reference. I think.

Hey flute player! I actually taught myself through YouTube. I would find the videos that were as hands-on, and as detailed in explanation as possible. Obviously, I didn't have the vision to see the gray ash that indicates when the charcoal is ready, so I use a timer. I usually give them about 20, to 25 minutes.

That is so cool. I'm glad you taught yourself through YouTube. That's how I do my music sometimes, or if I can find the piece of music, I'm trying to learn, I teach myself. Don't you ever get scared?

Not at all! If you know what you're doing, and have the confidence, the practice and the know how, nothing to be afraid of whatsoever.

Glad you don't get scared. I mean, I can use the stove a little, but the oven in the crockpot in the microwave were easier for me to use. When I was out with the Carol center in Massachusetts, I learned about something called an induction unit. It's like a little tiny stove. That's pretty cool. I also have these oven mitts that are made of like a flame, retardant, rubber or another type of material that is flame resistant. How can I get over my fear of the stove?

You just have to learn. You just have to accept that there's risk involved in everything you do in life.

I told my mom that you had been cooking since you were nine years old, and she said wow! That's impressive. I told her about the type of grill you have. Nowadays, gas grills are used, but some people still use charcoal. Charcoal is good, especially if you need fuel during a hurricane. We get hurricanes down here in Florida all the time, but do you get any type of summer storms up there in Utah? Tornadoes hurricanes anything like that?
