Yes, but faith in the same God and being saved in Christ makes us brothers and sisters, not strangers. And yes, this is a private topic, but just to be able to reach out to those who believe as you do and love the Lord as you do is comforting in itself. And you know, Rebecca that we are with you in spirit and in prayer and you have our full support. We can’t help you solve this problem, but we can pray that God gives you the wisdom and the knowledge you need to do so. And we know that Jesus is with you so keep your faith. And you’ll come up with the right thing to do.

Remember the scripture, he that loves his mother or father or his own life more than me is not worthy of me. On the other hand, your mom‘s birthday is coming up? If this was a family tradition that you kept, couldn’t you have gone there and participated in the family gathering without necessarily taking part in anything that they did that you felt win against your be belief in your faith? Remember God gave you that Family and he gave them you as well. Should I try to do everything in my opinion to keep the family together, but don’t do anything that would be true your love for Christ. But, I hardly think that God wants you to be an outcast from your family. Let’s both pray about it because God has said we are two or more on there. He is in the mid and I know you and your husband and are praying and I am and I can tell how bad you feel. But sometimes it really is true that loving the Lord means you do have to go against your family. But let the Lord God show you and teach you how to do so and let there be peace as much as possible. And God bless you. And I think in the end, things will turn out fine. But if it’s not too late, think about wishing your mom a happy birthday.
