Just earlier today, I nearly killed, possibly crushed, or at least injured a kitten. I was just walking on a grassy field and felt something as I took my next step forward with my right foot. Could've been a rock, could've been a bird, but at last… Someone behind me, shouted out that I was stepping on a cat. I reacted quickly and decided to move foot away from animal. I have pictures with the animal since it turned out to be the House pet. It was not even injured, but I was shaken for a short 30 second window of time. No harm no foul. And now I have the picture with the cute little fluffy thing in my lap

Thank gods the kitten was okay!!! I would have felt awful. But if the kitty is letting you pet and hold it after the experience, B think you'll be fine.
