I live here, I know what the family did. They moved quick fast in a hurry into that new gated community. They said they had to do it because of death threats, but they just didn't save enough money for his defense attorneys. So now Carmelo Anthony is in prison and his parents are living in large. And look at that damn trial! It was such a joke on the side of the defense because they had nothing to prove or to even say. The main person who could've helped himself didn't even testify. What a joke!

I mean you would at least think that they would try to push their defense, but when you know you don't have anything I guess it's just best to be quiet. He did not want to go up against the prosecutors because they would've asked questions that would've made him look even more guilty that he couldn't answer. The first big question they would've asked is, why did you bring a knife to a track meet? Knives are not allowed at track meet. Then they would've asked him, you being an athlete why would you have went into another team's tent when you know that is not the way things are done. Guilty guilty guilty.

So basically is what happened is the parents upgraded their lifestyle using that money, and the whole time they were thinking that Joe Biden was still president and that they could say the word race and then it would apply even though it actually doesn't apply in this case. they were obviously thinking the whole time that if they said the word racism that people would just back down and set the kid free, but Joe Biden is no longer president. People are now held accountable for their actions and he stabbed that kid and he deserves to be where he's at and it was not a racial situation.

No, the parents did not use the money to update their lifestyle. In fact the place where the donations were made actually audited it where the money went that’s how I know so where you live at what you claim to know is some bullshit.

Well here's how this works, when his parents go home and their new car, they type in a code. If Carmel Anthony has a snack these days it's going to be animal crackers if his parents saved enough money to send him so he can buy them. Close to $1 million is already gone, I don't have a law degree but I could've done what his attorneys did. Anybody can just sit there.

And of course his parents are doing all of these TV interviews which of course I doubt that they're volunteering their time I'm sure they're getting paid very well for them. I just hope that the other four kids that they have will learn from this experience and if they ever find themselves in a situation that they will conduct themselves a little differently. Because what big brother did is not the way to live.

Its tragic all the way around for both families! Nobody should die and nobody should resort to violence!

I agree with that 100%, it is definitely tragic for both families. one family completely lost their son and will never hear his voice again. Another family only has an abbreviated version of their son left until he gets out. the part that bothers me about this is that people are not going to learn from it. All of the Carmelo Anthony supporters are going to be telling their kids how this is racist and the justice system is fucked up, they won't be telling them if you find yourself in a situation like this step back and handle it differently unless you really are in immediate danger. The other four kids are going to grow up thinking that the justice system just took a big shit on their brother instead of looking at what actually happened that day.

Well I don't think that Carmelo Anthony got dressed for school that morning with murder on his mind. But on the other hand he should not have been in that tent and he should've left when he was asked to leave, but he wasn't about to let some white boy punk him out either and I think that's why he did what he did. Brandon Tatum was talking about this on his podcast how society will teach Black people to act that way towards white people. Just like in the parking lot of the trial, there were some Black people walking around and just randomly hitting white people. There is a video out there that came from the parking lot of a white man being beat up by another black man because the black man thought that he was on the jury. He finally stopped beating up the white guy because people were able to convince him that the guy he was beating up had no part of the jury. It's that kind of teaching I think that lead Carmelo Anthony to handle that situation and the way that he chose to handle it that day. He wasn't in any danger, nobody wanted to fight him, all they wanted was for him to leave the tent but he wasn't supposed to be there in the first place.

Oh I don't think that Carmelo was going to have it very easy in prison. I'm not totally sure about the particular unit that he's in, but I do know that 70% of Texas prisons do not have air-conditioning. They've been trying to pass the laws to force the prisons to install air-conditioning, but it hasn't been done yet and even when it does get past it's gonna take years to retrofit those buildings for air-conditioning. So he could be coming home to a very hot Texas summer with no air-conditioning. I could never survive that.
