Please don't take this the wrong way, but your name has strong Islamic roots. You share a name with the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad and the wife of Ali, which is why people often recognize it as Arabic. It's a very common name throughout the Middle East and parts of Africa. I completely relate because I have an Islamic name too—mine is widespread across the Middle East, parts of Africa, and is even shared by a Prime Minister of Pakistan. Because Islam is so central to these regions, people naturally associate our names with Arabic culture.
