The echo show. Is it useful for a blind person?

I’m not sure if they took the record button away, but I can’t find it but yeah just since we’ve spoken I’ve been playing with this camera feature on her and I love it. But yeah, it’s like a round can. And her voice is so sweet the way she asked me what is it that was so cute and it was just really really kind of her

Voiceview on the echo show is really slow. I don’t think I’d get another one.

I have a couple of Amazon echo shows and truthfully they’re not very useful as a for a blind person. First of all the voiceView screen reader is very clunky hard to use not very useful about the only thing that an echo show can do for a blind person is you can hold an item up in front of the camera and ask what you’re holding, and sometimes it will tell you and sometimes it doesn’t have a clue. Your phone with Be My Eyes is much more efficient so all in all I would not invest in an echo show again but that’s just my opinion.

I have an echo shop, but that’s only because I gave it to my dad as a complementary present after Alexa plus beta said I could have one. I was like I don’t really need another echo but my dad‘s getting older and I thought it would be better for him to have an echo in the first place plus he likes to watch sports and videos on it if you can I guess… I’m sure it could hook up to his TV. I don’t use it much, but it would kind of be nice to have something to watch TV on or like I said an Apple TV to listen to the Ramo app on and watch stuff on echo show, but I don’t think you can do everything at once. It’s more for him. I just hope he’ll put reminders in it. I mean I’ve plugged thousands of reminders into mine. I thought it would help him but I guess I thought it would help him to not forget so much stuff but he’s not that forgetful lol
