JAWS has keystrokes specifically for dragging and dropping that use the jaws cursor. I believe it is control insert numPadSlash to start (do it on the thing to drag), then move the jaws cursor to the drop spot, then the same keystroke again. I don't have jaws so cannot check.

Hi! It sounds like you are trying to drag and drop on a website or in an app that uses the virtual cursor. Pressing space isn't standard for any screen-reader to drag and drop. Why did you try disabling virtual cursor and then hitting space? Sometimes, a web app or web page will code their own drag and drop functionality and include a hint for screen-reader users that is announced i.e. when tabbing onto the draggable thing. Did you hear a message telling you to press space? If so and it's not working, it either maybe doesn't make the announcement right and is working or is broken and iis the site/app author's falt.
