There's nothing to be sorry about your perspective. I've brought this up simply because I think it necessary. There is nothing wrong disagreeing with me. No one has to take my word for what I've said. I also would like to let those who do agree with me to not take my word as a fact but just an opinion, and I never claim to be right on ""everything.

No, this is definitely odd. I’m sorry, I tried to give you the benefit of the doubt and just assumed that this was a bit of anxiety around accidentally reporting someone because yes, depending on which way you go, you can maybe find yourself hitting that instead of the option you really intended on. However, if this is a thing that happens often to you, that’s user error and it’s not the fault of the app. It sounds like you’re also bringing baggage from other apps to here, which isn’t a healthy thing to do.

If people mass report for "fun", we will simply stop them from using the system; they will have to send an email instead. But no, we haven't had this situation at this point. Over complicating the report flow seems counter intuitive; if a user feels the need to report something to us, we don't want it to be stressful.

That is not to say that the report button should be unavailable—I never ever said ethat!

There is nothing odd about it; I made this post because I know many people who have gone through the same thing. Although I do admit that I've just discovered that reporting a post or a comment is a little harder than I thought—which is good, but still, I believe it's necessary to take effort to report people, or everybody can run around reporting posts after posts, and then good luck to the real reports getting solved because there are too many reports now! I hope you're not into the situation when you receive reports after reports after report... and most of them are complete nonsense—because it actually happened to me when I was an admin of a group! And then there are people who really report something legit, but it takes the admin team so much longer to get to those reports because we're getting spam reports like crazy! Have you heard of a story of people reporting each other for fun? If you deny that it's a real thing, then don't even give your opinion around this topic—unless you want to do that kinda thing yourself!

This post is extremely odd lol. Just pay attention to which action you're clicking on. What would you like them to do to make it harder to access? It needs to be in the actions rotor for those who actually do want to use it, and you're not just going to send an automatic report by clicking it. That's never how reporting works, you have to say why you're reporting something and submit that before it actually reports. And if you almost report someone, I don't think you need to feel any kind of way about that because you...didn't actually report them. It's all fine.
